Licensing arrangement with ISSB enhances organizations’ reporting and value-creation, and exemplifies Sweep’s furthering of the sustainability agenda through technology enablement.

Sweep’s formal collaboration with the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) as an official licensee of the IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 Standards (ISSB Standards), is a major new step for the market-leading sustainability data platform.

This marks a new step in Sweep’s work to make sophisticated sustainability reporting accessible and actionable for organizations worldwide. Sweep continues to empower organizations to lay the foundations for long-term business value as they navigate the various international sustainability reporting standards.

250+ indicators pre-configured

With 250+ IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 indicators now pre-configured in Sweep’s software platform, organizations’ data can flow transparently across all key frameworks, including CSRD, SECR, SB 253, GRI and others – demonstrating our core belief that sustainability data should work across all frameworks without duplication of efforts.

Sweep’s dedicated ISSB module supports both IFRS S1 (general sustainability) and IFRS S2 (climate-specific) requirements.

IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 are fast becoming the global baseline for sustainability disclosure. This creates unprecedented opportunities for multinational organisations to be more effective and efficient in their reporting whilst operating in multiple countries.

IFRS Foundation Director of Earned Revenue Eli Reisman says: “The IFRS Foundation welcomes Sweep as a licensee of the ISSB Standards. Many jurisdictions around the world are adopting or otherwise using the ISSB Standards in their regulatory frameworks, in addition to companies voluntarily choosing to use the Standards. To facilitate corporate disclosure, it’s essential that service providers and tool creators integrate the ISSB Standards into their platforms.”

Global baseline emerging

Nearly 40 jurisdictions representing over 60% of global GDP are in the process of adopting or otherwise using ISSB Standards. This includes:

  • Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, UK, Canada, Japan, South Korea

Data interoperability in action

Sweep’s support for the ISSB Standards exemplifies our core belief that sustainability data should be collected once and used everywhere (“interoperable data”). Companies can now build their sustainability reporting foundation on IFRS S1 & IFRS  S2, and easily extend them to other mandatory or voluntary disclosure needs.

Uniting sustainability and business impact

This collaboration supports the growing trend toward financial materiality-focused reporting, helping organizations understand how sustainability matters create risks and opportunities for their business.

Sweep CEO Rachel Delacour comments: “At Sweep, we believe that sustainability can and should be a fundamental driver for growth. By making materiality central to the standards, the discussions can shift away from reporting to decision-making, planning, and collaboration. We have invested substantially in materiality assessment, scenario modeling, and decision-making in order to empower the thousands of businesses that we support in driving their business performance and reducing risks”.
